Wake [Wednesday, July 19, 2006 )( 11:27pm] [ mood | happy ] So I got the newest Trio Töykeät album in today. :) It's very excellent. Their music composition/playing skills have really refined and matured a lot. And this time all the songs titles are in English, except for "Beba" ("it's not bebop, it's a new style of music...beba means something naughty in finnish, but you'll have to look it up for yourself" <-from the liner notes, not word for word since it was from memory but you get the idea). The only song that I really can't focus during seems to be Insane in Seine but maybe that's just right now. "Beba" is loads of fun, though. And the end of Third Ball is hilarious. These guys have such wacky senses of humor...like the first track is called "Perfect Make Out Music," which is pretty goofy. End of the First Set has an appropriate title for its style, but for one reason or another is actually only the third track on the CD, haha. The two covers are also very good - In A Sentimental Mood is one of my favorite Duke Ellington songs and it's fun hearing these guys play it, and Voyage is good (I haven't heard the original though). English II H: 96 Global Studies H: 92 Biology H: 94 Algebra II: 100 German III H: 92 Band: 92 Final Exam grades: English II H: 93 Global Studies H: 95 Biology H: 100 (!!!! I'm still in shock) Algebra II: 99 (haha, I wonder what dumb mistake I made) German III H: 88 (...-_-) Band: 90 Overall Final grades: PE: 96 English II H: 97 Global Studies H: 95 Biology H: 94 Algebra II: 96 German III H: 93 Band: 92 Yay! *confetti* Bye bye sophomore year! I got my schedule but no one who reads this actually NEEDS to know it...Except nickie: I've got band D period Otherwise my schedule looks good...except for having 5th lunch. It's basically about....finding your wings. When I say it like that it sounds so lame. Which is why I'm stuck with coming up with a summary...^^;; Man, I'm...so weird, haha. I went to the book sale in New Milford: The Illustrated Man (collection of short stories) by Ray Bradbury Noble House by James Clavell Whirlwind by James Clavell Poirot Loses a Client by Agatha Christie Phineas by John Knowles The Ringworld Engineers by Larry Niven (sequel to Ringworld) Robot City by Isaac Asimov All for 50 cents each!! And yes, James Clavell seems to have a habit of writing books 1,000+ pages long (Noble House and Whirlwind are as big as Shogun, but neither of them is a sequel to it). comment )( change )

Mil-wau-kee here I come...! [Monday, July 10, 2006 )( 11:13pm] So I'm gonna go visit Oni, who I haven't seen in like....a year or something, from july 29th to august 5th. I'm so excited! Sam's going too; our moms ordered the tickets today. We leave at 5:30 PM on flight 16 on Midwest airlines at...Leguardia? if that's how you spell it...on the 29th (I'm going to sam's house around 1), arrival time is roughly 6:50 PM (due to the time change), on the 5th departure time is 10:15 AM and 1:20 PM is the arrival time (also due to the time change). Aaaannd, it was only $222 round trip per person!! Which is, like, absolutely amazing. I haven't been on a plane since I was 5 so I guess this will be a good experience. :P I'm kind of sick of waiting for my report card.... Band rehearsal for 3 and a half hours tomorrow night... [] I have choked on my own spit and thought I was going to die. [] I've seen the Matrix a bunch of times and still don't get it. [] I type only with my two pointer fingers. [] I have accidently caught something on fire. [] Aqua Teen Hunger Force is hilarious [] I've told a cop to fuck off and gotten screwed for it. [] Escalators make me nervous because I'm scared I'm going to get sucked into the top! (I actually do get afraid I'm going to fall down them when I'm going on one that goes down...) [x] I have attempted to sip out of a straw but it accidently went into my nose, rather than my mouth. [x] Sometimes when I think of something funny, I laugh out loud and people look at me weird. [] I've caught myself drooling on several occasions. [] I've accidently caused an explosion. [X] If someone says the word "poop", I can't help but laugh. [] I've turned into a "Do Not Enter" one way road plenty of times. [ ] I've been in a car accident simply because I wasn't paying attention. [ ] I've been caught driving drunk...
